A star in her native land & professional singer since 1979 Galina specializes in folk songs from her native Dobrudzha region, located on the Bulgarian-Romanian border. Galina performs with her Bulgarian musicians either as 3 or 5 piece band.

Galina was born in Dobrudja, North East Bulgaria where she learnt the traditional songs of the area from her grandmother her aunt & her father. These are songs of the everyday lives of rural people from this area which is known as the breadbasket of Bulgaria.
 
Despite being recognised at an early age as being a singer of great potential she lived a very ordinary life and was discouraged from contemplating a musical career by her parents until she began singing professionally at 18 and joined the State Ensemble Of Dobruja. Several years as lead singer with Trio Dobrudjanka followed and then in recent years a career as a solo singer with a small group of backing musicians led to recognition as the finest interpreter of traditional songs of the region  and the recent accolade of an  honourary citizenship  of the city of Dobrich.
 
With a lovely stage presence and accompanied by excellent dynamic musicians Galina is a true star of Bulgarian music and deserves to be known more widely outside of her native land.
